Linglong, 15th October, Zhao Yuan— Shandong Linglong Tire Co., Ltd. (Linglong) launched its new brand HUBTRAC in 1st October 2020, to address the increasing consumer demand of improved design and durability.

The HUBTRAC- branded TBR (Truck and Bus Radial Tyres) and special tyre series feature improved safety, longevity and overall performance on diversified terrains. Six series of the HUBTRAC-branded tyres consisting of over 150 SKUs will be supplied to commercial vehicles, including: long-haul, regional, on- and off-road, mine, winter and urban, slated to be released in separate stages. The brand strategy has been adapted to suit different markets and to optimise the resource allocation on the value chain.

Compared with current line of products, HUBTRAC differentiates itself with a new naming method and a new sidewall design. “Several new-generation products are undergoing the design process and will be released on the market soon. We are confident they will attract more interest as the new tyre designs will achieve better performance powered by advanced technology,” said the Mr. Ma, Chief R&D Designer of HUBTRAC.

HUBTRAC products will be produced in Linglong’s overseas production bases, including its Thailand and Serbia factories. Earlier this year, Linglong has revamped its strategy to build six manufacturing bases in China and six overseas, in a bid to promote a high-quality industrial model and increase core brand competitiveness globally. At present, the company has in total four Chinese manufacturing facilities located in Zhaoyuan, Shandong Province, Dezhou, Shandong Province, Liuzhou, Guangdong Province, Jingmen, Hubei Province and an overseas facility situated in Thailand. The facilities in Changchun and Serbia are currently under construction.

Leon, HUBTRAC’s COO said, “The European tyre market is known for its high benchmark  for all-steel truck tyres, especially with regards to tyre safety, wear resistance, re-treading, and environmental protection. As a new labelling rule will be implemented from 1 May 2021 in the EU, it presents an opportunity for tyre manufacturers who are invested in the European market.”

Smartening up with a digital-led approach

Linglong’s latest addition – Changchun factory has upped the ante in terms of customer service, industrial planning, and distribution strategy, as an integral part of its “6+6 glocalization” strategy. The fully-automated and digitalized cloud-management platform it has incorporated serves to streamline manpower resources in the manufacturing and production processes. This enables resources to be optimized and reallocated into the quality-inspection process, further strengthening Linglong’s digitalisation and setting the benchmark in domestic tyre sector.

The cloud platform will also help Linglong reduce its inventory, allowing it to lower costs and shorten customer-response time. Moreover, the company will have greater oversight of its equipment and processes in real time, resulting in minimized down time, greater efficiency and higher quality standards.

Drawing on Linglong’s strengths in global sourcing, advanced manufacturing technology, and connected marketing network, HUBTRAC is well-equipped to achieve quick inroad into the European market, as part of Linglong’s progressive global expansion plan.

True to its slogan, “Journey to the Future”, HUBTRAC plans to work with top-tier European tyre dealers by drawing on Linglong’s expertise and that of its European counterparts, fully committed to a shared journey of continuous improvement on brand experience, and consistent value-add.
